Wiggle Room

My mom took this picture of me yesterday. I'm 30 weeks.

We only had a couple surgeries this morning, so not too bad. The baby has been moving around all day. Usually he moves mostly in the morning and at night, but today he has been active all day. I think his amount of WIGGLE room is shrinking.
This afternoon, we had a walk-through on our new house. They really just have to finish the fence, and we're supposed to close on Friday. Hooray! I can't hardly wait to start putting Mason's ROOM together. I'll finally get to open and put together his crib. Afterwards, Chris went fishing at the ponds in the neighborhood and I took a nap. I'm afraid I might never see Chris again once we move in. Fishing within walking distance is his favorite thing about our new house.

Lazy Sunday

Kasie & Robby

After watching his "horns" lose in the NCAA tournament today, Chris decided to cook fish for everyone. Robby (my brother) and Kasie (my sister-in-law) came over to eat and hang out for a bit. Kasie got to feel the BABY move, which she enjoyed. The weather today was fantastic so we just sat around most of the day, but it was relaxing. The FISH was good too!

Reconnect

Jennifer and Me

Jennifer, Jennifer and Amanda

Today I attended a reunion for the Alpha Alpha chapter of Chi Omega. It was really neat to see all the alumni RECONNECT with one another. There were lots of ladies from 1950's and 1960's that had great stories to share. They talked about when PIZZA first came about and how great it was to get it delivered to their dorms after curfew. The most hilarious STORY was how they dressed-up in their hats and gloves, and had cake & punch as they watched a big wedding on the soap "As the World Turns." Our decade didn't have a very good turn-out, but I was greatful for the girls that came!

My First

Well, I have been inspired by friends to start this blog. I am in a perfect place in my LIFE to start something new like this and I certainly have lots to share with FAMILY and FRIENDS.

CHRIS (my husband) and I have a tons of stuff going on right now. We are currently expecting a BABY BOY in June and are waiting to move into our new house in just a couple of weeks. So many things coming up that it makes my head spin just thinking about it. This blog will be the perfect outlet for a hormonal PREGNANT woman who's trying to juggle working, moving into a new house, and preparing for the arrival of her first baby. Wow what a ride it will be!

I went for my OB check-up today with Dr. Boyd and she said everything was "perfect." Yep that's right, she actually said I was PERFECT. I wasn't thinking perfect when I stepped on that scale, but I guess there are worse things. She didn't say anything about it so I'm good, right? Baby's heart rate (142 bpm ), my blood pressure, my size, baby's size, blood work... all right on track and "couldn't be better" she said. So far so good, and since I'm now 29 weeks she wants to start seeing me every 2 weeks. "Now the FUN begins" she said, and I personally can't wait!
