My little Mason

On Friday, we went for a 3D/4D sonogram to try to see baby Mason. It was really neat and kinda weird all at the same time. He was actually turned in such a way that the pictures weren't great. He also had tons of umbilical cord near his face that also made it difficult to see his CUTE face. He yawned a lot and he's definitely a BOY... he didn't mind showing us that part of his body. He also appears to have my nose! Chris, my mom, my dad, Robby and Kasie were all there for the show. The lady who did it was very nice and tried for a long time to get better pictures. She actually scheduled me for another one in 2 weeks for free in order to try to get some better ones. So I'm glad I'll get to see HIM again really soon!

We also went camping with Robby and Kasie this weekend. I'll post about that later this week. Until then enjoy this adorable picture of Mason!

Doctor's Appointment

Well I had my 32 week check-up today and everything is progressing nicely. I measured right at 32 weeks and the baby's heart rate was 155. She said to come back at 34 weeks and then at 36 weeks she would start "checking me" and then I would have weekly appointments after that. This is all starting to sound very scary and very soon! I know it will be fine and I feel very blessed that things have gone so well so far. I go back April 30th.

Getting Ready for Baby

So here is a sneak preview of the baby's CRIB as we were putting it together. The final product is not quite complete...my mom is still working on the bumper. I promise another pic when it's done. You can also see the paint color we picked in the background. It's a slate BLUE color called Scarborough. I love it.

We've spent most of our time recently trying to get settled in the new house and we're getting there slowly but surely.

The BABY is getting bigger by the minute and everyone the last 2 days has been saying how I'm really starting to show. Not bad to "really show" at 32 weeks...I'll take it! I also had a co-worker tell me how great I've done with the pregnancy and working long days on my feet, and how she's never once heard me complain. It was really nice to hear. He's been poking body parts out at me all day today and it's really FUN to try and guess what it is. Even more fun to put someone else's hand there, let them feel it and say "Ewww... what is that?" Absolutely hilarious!

I have a check-up tomorrow with by OB. I'll let you know how it goes.

Wiggle Room

My mom took this picture of me yesterday. I'm 30 weeks.

We only had a couple surgeries this morning, so not too bad. The baby has been moving around all day. Usually he moves mostly in the morning and at night, but today he has been active all day. I think his amount of WIGGLE room is shrinking.
This afternoon, we had a walk-through on our new house. They really just have to finish the fence, and we're supposed to close on Friday. Hooray! I can't hardly wait to start putting Mason's ROOM together. I'll finally get to open and put together his crib. Afterwards, Chris went fishing at the ponds in the neighborhood and I took a nap. I'm afraid I might never see Chris again once we move in. Fishing within walking distance is his favorite thing about our new house.

My First

Well, I have been inspired by friends to start this blog. I am in a perfect place in my LIFE to start something new like this and I certainly have lots to share with FAMILY and FRIENDS.

CHRIS (my husband) and I have a tons of stuff going on right now. We are currently expecting a BABY BOY in June and are waiting to move into our new house in just a couple of weeks. So many things coming up that it makes my head spin just thinking about it. This blog will be the perfect outlet for a hormonal PREGNANT woman who's trying to juggle working, moving into a new house, and preparing for the arrival of her first baby. Wow what a ride it will be!

I went for my OB check-up today with Dr. Boyd and she said everything was "perfect." Yep that's right, she actually said I was PERFECT. I wasn't thinking perfect when I stepped on that scale, but I guess there are worse things. She didn't say anything about it so I'm good, right? Baby's heart rate (142 bpm ), my blood pressure, my size, baby's size, blood work... all right on track and "couldn't be better" she said. So far so good, and since I'm now 29 weeks she wants to start seeing me every 2 weeks. "Now the FUN begins" she said, and I personally can't wait!
